I thought, when I first saw the soul hunter on the SC2 gameplay movie, i thought the soul hunter was the stupidest starcraft unit evar, especially for the sleek protoss race. What, teh, FCUK is a "soul hunter"? The concept was cool but the name sucked... until i saw the unit up close and studied so i can draw it. It seems that Blizz finally had a concept where they directly put the psi appendages of protoss into guns. Maybe they already had this for the vindicator, i forgot... but that gun was cool. The only weirdly funky aspect of the soul hunter is:!!!!

Why is he hovering on a friggin SHOE?!!!

Why can't they ride something cooler like pods or a hoverboard? At least show us their legs...

So I turned the soul hunter drawin into a protoss shoeman halfway into drawing him... i drew the head and body and the cannon first... then found the idea for the shoe. then i decided this looked like some famous shoemaking company... im afraid to say their name cuz who knows, they might file a lawsuit. he damn bloodsuckers. look at the logo on the shoe. ITS DIFFERENT!!! HAHA YOU CANT COME AND BITE ME ON MY BUTT!!!!

THen his pose looked too similar to one of them shoemaker mascot basketball players!!! so i added a basketball! Just picture a black basketball shoeman protoss dribbling that ball up and down the temple grounds!!! :D

Of course, I took the liberty of adding various designs on the soul hunter aside from the shoe...

PS: Well, some sassy dude makes 10 minute sketches for the new SC2 units so even if they dont look too good they still count as the first ever ______ fanart. He drew a soul hunter some time ago... Awwwwww.....

I can't be first. :(

soul hunters? zlots with guns?wha? i heard of a similir unit from Sc:ghost that had a gun and suppsoedly gonna be a toss human hybrid (but a terran unit...)

Thats pretty funny XD Its a clever idea, and I like how even though youve made it into an actual shoe and added all this humerouss tuff, he still looks like a badass XD

Hmmm... the toss human hybrid is unlikely... its probably that artwork they released about a human ghost like unit without the environmental tight suit but with head gear and dressed all in black... they had a big gun like a ghosts (but longer and heavier than nova's) and their headgear definitely looked like a ghost. The problem is, stupid people so some wires that was attached to the head gear that was connecting the head gear to some thing on their backs (i dunno cant really see, it looked like it was disappearing... the picture was really heavily shadowed and stuff i couldnt really see... sorry). ONLY ABOUT 2 WIRES!!! and stupid people thought that was a protoss/terran hybrid!!! They have the IQ of a can of corn! :shakefist:

The vindicators (means ones who purify.... like purify Aiur of Zerg infestation... blizzard sometimes comes up with cool meaningful names... unlike "SOUL HUNTER" :shakefist:) are foot soldiers other than the zealot. they have significantly different armor designs and they mount a BFG (Big Friggin GUN) they carry around. I dont think their guns ave long range, its like a firebat's perdition flamethrower, it fires the same way and the range is about the same, but it fires blue psi like solid lightning like a flamethrower. When they fire their shield splits apart to let the weapon fire through that hole. It was in one of the last scenes of one of the SCG gameplay footage.

SOUL HUNTERS cannot be yet found on Blizzard. GO to fansites , like the infamous INFOCEPTOR. Sometimes i wonder where they get all that hidden info. SO much info its almost a spoiler. Like in one cinematic, they say they surely saw a glimpse of Kerrigan One upping Zeratul and is wearing highheels standing atop the broken protoss warrior... drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh i was spoiled!!!!

:D badass... i'd rather think if blizzard HAD TO HAVE the soul hunters floating around on a platform, why dont they tilt it like in my picture to make them more vertical and cooler?

And of course, instead of floating around, this soul hunter Jumps around making fake air slamdunks in the air... *BOINK*

Yeah, i liked the protoss the best with their designs... zerg units like nydus worm looked too animalish than the tradtional insectoid zerg units! I no likey... but terrans with shields are cool. REAPERS sucked... cmon, "PISTOLS" for a interstellar WARFARE?
